Zansa, led by Ivorian drummer and singer Adama Dembele, plays modern-meets-traditional West African afropop music. The music is rooted in the West African drumming tradition Dembele was born into and blended with a modern approach and western instruments (violin, guitar, bass, drumset), lending familiarity to foreign sounds. Zansa will be joined Special Guest: Arouna Diarra (Burkina Faso, West Africa) of the group Mande Foly on ngoni (a harp-like instrument related to the kora). Opening will be DJ Minori (World/Afrobeat).

Isis will be featuring African influenced dinner specials that evening, as well. Come have dinner and enjoy an evening of Afropop, Afrobeat, Zouglou, and World music. DJ Minori (World/Afrobeat) will begin at 9pm, Zansa at 10pm
